Bombay Paints was established in 1948 as a Private Limited Company. It was later bought over by two technocrats, J. M. Chudasama and J. M. Nadkarni and converted into a Public Limited Company in 1960. In April 1994, the management of the company once again changed hands by virtue of which the control was transferred to a larger business group, known as the Growel Group. For over 50 years Bombay Paints has been involved in the manufacture of various types of Paints, Varnishes, Enamels, Putties and Sealing Compounds and Resins.
